September Updates: New Personalization Features in Customily

The end of Q3 is here, and we couldn’t be more excited to share everything we’ve been working on this month. From brand-new personalization tools to workflow optimizations, September brought powerful updates that make designing with Customily smoother, faster, and more fun.

Collapsible Options Menu for Mobile 📱

We’ve upgraded the modal preview experience!

🎉Now shoppers can drag and resize the options menu to make the product preview bigger or smaller—perfect for getting a closer look at your customizations. As you adjust the panel, the preview updates in real time, making swatch selection smoother and more precise.

This means:

Flexible preview size:

• Zoom in or out by resizing the panel.

Improved swatch selection:

• Picking from swatch options is easier to navigate now.

Copy / Paste Images & Vectors from Clipboard 📋

We added a new functionality to the Design Studio: Copy + Paste files from Clipboard 📋

You can now paste images and vectors that you've selected from your computer directly to the design studio, speeding up your workflow.

Here's how it works:

➡️ Images (one or more images copied from your computer)

With no element selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll create a dynamic image with the images as options

With a dynamic image selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll add the pasted images as options

With an image placeholder selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll upload the image as your sample

➡️ Vectors (one or more vectors copied from your computer)

With no element selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll create a dynamic vector with the vectors as options

With a dynamic vector selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll add the pasted vectors as options

With a vector placeholder selected:

• when pasted with CTRL+V, we'll upload the vector as your sample

Set Initial Position for Image ⚙️🖼️

You can now define the initial position and size for both Upload and Dynamic Images.

This allows you to:

• 📏 Set the right default size and position of the image.
• 🎨 Give customers more freedom to move the image, without sacrificing a good default fit.

Standard QR Code for Spotify 🎵

Spotify design elements groups now support standard QR codes!

Simply add a QR code inside the Spotify group 📲, and it will be generated automatically from the song search 🎶.

Within the Option Set ⚙️, the QR code now pulls the URL directly from the song search, working seamlessly with the rest of your Spotify design elements.

Warped Text Stroke ✨

You can now add strokes to your warped text ✍️, making your personalized designs 🎨 sharper, more eye-catching 👀, and more versatile than ever .

💡TIP: Combine strokes with color gradients to create spectacular effects for your personalized texts.

New Design Element: Solid Background 🟪

Add solid color backgrounds to your designs easily with our new design element.

⚙️Here's how to use it:

1. Create a new design or template
2. Add a Solid Background
3. Choose solid background color options: leave one fixed option or add multiple color options for your customers to choose from (including color libraries!)
